Transaction Import to Voucher and Adjustment Screen SL2015

    Good Day All,
I am trying to import a csv file to the Voucher and Adjustment Screen in DSL2015. It fails without writing any error to the log file.  All that is written is the name of the input file.  Is there a way to run TI in Debug Mode.

I don't think you can run a transaction import on a CSV.  Try saving the file as a TXT file and see if that helps.

    CSV files work fine.
Do you have your "level0" and other levels on each row of your import?
In options, are you selecting "only data in error written to log"?

Sandria - Are you using a template?  If so, when you initially paste in the template are all the elements still visible?  I regularly see users click Save instead of Paste which overwrites the template with blank fields.  If that is the case, you just need to recreate your template

Go to Options and select "Only Data in Error".  When it fails, click the "Edit Errors" button, it will point you at the offending field.  I've attached a screen shot for your convenience.

I have used .csv files to import into AP Vouchers and Adjustments numerous times without issues. I have selected to only write data with error t the log file. I have included the 3 Levels
    Level0
    Level1
    Level4
I have even changed that to be
    Batch
    Document
    Transaction
without success, I used the simple Control file format and also the intelligent format same issue. Fails without writing errors. In the older versions of SL(Solomon) we were able to run TI in debug mode. Does anyone remember how to do this if it can still be done or is there a problem with TI to the Voucher and Adjustment screen in SL2015 CU2

Hi Sandria - might not be applicable, but we ran into some TI issues when upgrading to SL15 last year, so I'll throw it out there.

We had some issues when we launched SL15 w/ TI, it ran very quickly but wouldn't write anything to the log file and nothing would import; for certain users. Turns out, when we set up our instance and mimicked the folder structures on the new environment, the permissions didn't carry forward to certain folders for these users - mainly the 'write' permissions. Once we updated the permissions, TI worked again (or at least could start giving us errors to troubleshoot the issues).

If you have other TI files working - this probably isn't the issue. Though, if the files are stored in separate folders, it wouldn't hurt to move your voucher screen CTRL, LOG, CSV etc. copies and run them from a folder that currently works to rule it out.

    Many thanks,
    Justin

Thank you very much. I do have other TI screens working with the files in the same location. I used DTS to insert the documents, but I much prefer working with TI. I noticed that the Control file was created with fields that were comtomized out. I edited the file before I used it,but in watching the screen input  am seeing were it stopped at the 1st customized field.

    Hi Sandria,
Did you upgrade recently from a previous version to SL2015, and are still using a control file generated in a previous version of SL? Reason I ask, is because from SL2015  the control files generated using Control Macro Generator changed slightly so using an old control file from a previous version can cause funny issues. If this is your case, I would try generating an entirely new control file from SL2015, modifying it for your data file, and then try importing using that.
    Cheers,
    JD.
