  • 1.  Error when trying to send emails via ACH Process

    As part of paying people via ACH, SL was sending out emails. Recently I received the following error.

    "Connecting to Mail Server: smtp.office365.com 5:03:24 PM, Error: 24"


    My IT person says the Error 24 was not an SMTP error. Maybe it is a code from SL. Does anyone know what that error code means?

    According to the eBanking manual, error 24 is an authentication error. (ESMTP Authentication failed)

    Andre,

    There are a number of reasons the process was stopped.  I have found that some windows updates that require reboots will require the APP SERVER to be rebooted and all services restarted.  I would start there by restarting the Application Server and logging in as the windows account with the office365 email.  Open the email function and make sure that the account can send a test email to someone, yourself as an example.  If that fails, there is an issue with the email account.  Open SL and make sure the APP SERVER is running and then try re-sending an old pay stub to yourself.

    There was a document on customer source to help in the troubleshooting of the Application Server if that is required.

    Turns out that I need to re-enter the password. My IT shop said the password was not changed. Everything is working now.
