A month or so ago we Implemented Veeam Backup and Replication. The replication was set to run every hour. It would usually only take about 10 minutes to complete as it was only moving delta's from the last replication. This was running perfect for several weeks, but we started getting the sql disconnect error from Dynamics clients. I noticed the disconnects seemed to be on the hour, the same time Veeam is kicking off the hourly replication job. So, I disabled the replication and wow!!! Sql disconnect errors stopped. So, what is happening? When replication kicks off it starts a few second snapshot of the vm hfl-dynamics and ts-dynamics. Even though this only takes a few seconds to complete, we are losing 1 packet and the network latency goes up to 40-50ms. Once the snapshot is complete, everything settles back down. Has anyone tried to use Veeam Backup/Replication to replicate a Dynamics server to another location or server?
Is there anything we can do to make it less sensitive to the latency and/or the dropped packets?
