10232 - file detail.cpp line 467 - error on save

    Hi All,

    I am having an issue with a test database for SL18 that I converted from sl 7.0. Everything seems to work fine except the AR invoice and Memo and payment entry screen. When I go to save anything in a new batch it errors out with:
    System Message 10232
    Assertion failure!
    File:detail.cpp
    Line: 467
    Expression: retval != NOTFOUND

    erro

    I have searched the web for detail.cpp nothing found, I searched for that file and can't find it on the server.

    If I do the same exact thing in the contoso database it saves fine, so it is not a file missing or corrupted, it is database specific.

    Things I have tried
    Payment application worked as designed.
    I was able to release a small balance write off batch without issue.
    I closed the statement cycle there is only 1
    I deleted all records from the refnbr table, same error and then put them back.
    Opened from ar file directory same issue.
    Logged in as different user and still get the same error.
    I also noticed that when I run profiler, it ends after the insert artran when I get the error, but then it rolls everything back.  I can actually see the batch number and refnbr it is trying to create.
    In the contoso database the next step is @@identity listed on two lines.  (see below)
    I reran synchronize all ownership, since that is database specific.
    I stopped and started SQL Server services
    I reran indexes, views and stored procedure.
    I change the default task in project maintenance,
    I ran ar integrity check it found some small differences, still error
    Changed the AR acct to something else and made the detail not project related. – same error
    Tried it in initialize mode same result
    I checked ardoc and artran for any rogue reference numbers that are longer than 10.

    I am at a loss, I have looked at this for numerous hours and still can't seem to come up with a solution.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Look for a trigger that someone may have created for an AR table.

    SELECT OBJECT_NAME(parent_object_id), name
    FROM sys.objects
    WHERE type = 'TR';

    I didn't think of that, I should have.

    Thanks, I really appreciate it.
