Is there a way to find out the actual date each module was closed via Closing in General Ledger?

    TIA!

Your best bet is the Event Log. Each Setup table (e.g., APSetup) has a LUpd_User column, but that's not reliable because some other change could have updated the table, and therefore that value, after the last close.

Jonathan is quite right about an Event Log being spawned when closing runs.

Closing a module does leave vestiges in some tables though, depending on the module.    In the setup screen for each module, the closing process does update the XXSetup.Lupd_DateTime field, but as soon as someone enters a new batch number, that date field gets overwritten.

Of note is that the AP_Balances or AR_Balances tables also get updated in the AP and AR modules when closing occurs.    For customers or vendors who haven't been used since the last closing, you can derive a closing date from the Lupd_Datetime field in those tables but only until the next closing date.

However, for DCAA compliance, we use Fast Path which is an audit software.    We do monitor the setup tables within that application so that we can track when closings occur long after the event logs get deleted.

    Best regards,

    Thanks Gail!
We have Fast Path, I will have to set that up.
