    I was wondering if how everyone tracks deduction changes that are made from employees through payroll.  We have about 1300 employees and our payroll department is having a difficult time tracking any changes that they make, since they are constantly making them for multiple people.  I have used the Deduction Audit report, but that shows all deductions as they currently are and if the comment that is used when saving isn't very descriptive, it's hard to see what the change was.  Since the deduction screen in Employee Maintenance is a maintenance screen, there is no true history table to track.  If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

    You can configure FastPath Audit Trail for SL to track and report on that.

    We created a custom program (and database tables) and customizations to Employee Maintenance that tracked changes to the employee record.  We have since moved on to an outside service for Payroll and HR.

    The code is for SL2011 SP1 but could be updated to a more current version.
