Employee Maintenance

    I am attempting to determine how Employees are automatically created within the Employee and Resource Maintenance screen (PA.EMP.00) and can not locate the correct set-up.

    We utilize the Silverbrook HR Module.  Employees are created within HR, which inturn updates Employee Maintenance within Payroll (02.250.00).  Our employees are then generated within the Project Module.  Again, I know this is a set-up function, but can not find it!

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Shay,

    If you use the SL payroll module, the employees automatically show up in the Employee and Resource Maintenance.  Since you have SL payroll module, it just does it.

    If you open the screen, hit F1, it will open the help for that screen.  You can click on the field in the help guide and it will tell you how / where the data comes from....this works for any screen.

    SilverBrook HR does permit creating most of the Project Employee record in addition to the Payroll Employee record.  I have not done this in a few years but recall a tab in HR Setup specifically for integration with SL Projects and Service Series.

    The settings are in the XHR950 HR setup screen to automatically create the project user when setting up the HR person as an employee. Look for it on the Project/Service tab.

    With the Silver Brook HR there are a couple of setup options within the HR Setup Screen.  In the Synch Options tab, there is a check box to automatically create employee immediately and this is managing the employees in Payroll Employee Maintenance.  There is another tab named Project/Service and this controls the behavior in the Project Resource for employees.  You have the option to never create, prompt, or always immediately create employees along with some other default data.

    I have attached a couple of screen shots for your assistance.
