Current Ageing provides a total for over 90 days.  Is there a way in Dynamics to extend the Ageing buckets?  I'm currently doing this manually

    Hi Anastasia,

In AR, Maintenance, Statement Cycle - you can set what you want the buckets to be.  You can have different cycles with different buckets.  However, a customer is assigned to only 1 cycle.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Without a customization / report change, I don't know of a way or 3rd party that would handle that....

Maybe we should suggest SL adds additional columns for the aging buckets??

    Hi, Anastasia:

Back in 2007, a consultant developed for our company a separate Report Format that will break out the aging buckets beyond 90 days.  There is a report for both the regular Aged AR report and the Period Sensitive Aged AR.  The breakout isn't in the same report as the standard 0 - 90 report.  But, between the two reports, you can achieve a full aging to 180 days.

    The setup involves the following:

    • adding a Statement Cycle ID '60'
    • installing some custom SQL views into your Application databases
    • copying the custom reports into the \Usr_Rpts folder
    • adding the Report Formats into the Report Control Maintenance screen, along with a Custom String Field for the Options tab
    • and then creating a Template for the reports so that the Options tab has a value in it.

Attached is a zip file with the following contents:

    • 3 files to install 3 custom SQL Views
    • vr_08610da-CREATE.sql
    • vr_08611_docsx-CREATE.sql
    • vr_08611a-CREATE.sql
    • 2 Crystal Reports
    • One for the Aged AR (08.610.00):  08610da.rpt
    • One for the Period Sensitive Aged AR (08.611.00):  08.611a.rpt
    • Word doc with installation instructions
    • Word doc with explanations of how the reports work, settings, how to run them and what they should look like (this is from 2007).

We use these reports to calculate our Allowance for Doubtful Accounts.  Thus, we named the Report Format "Detail Allowance for Doubtful".  You can name it something else that is meaningful to you.

Have your Partner/consultant perform the installation if you don't handle the technical end of Dynamics SL.

I'm the in-house technical person for Dynamics SL at my company.

We are still on v.7.0 FP1.  I'm assuming that these database objects and reports will still work in the newer versions.

Let me know how this works for you (and if you have any problems).
