    We ran up against the following error message during the Database Maintenance upgrade task on two different customers:

    Error Code: -2
    Error Text: Execution Timeout Expired.  The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

    We received the following response from MS Support:

    "Regarding the timeouts that you are encountering during the SL2018 upgrades. This is due to bug 39219. In SL 2018, the Developers added a timeout setting for the Report Server Synchronization process. However,  we are finding that this setting is inadvertently interfering with the SL2018 upgrade process. To work around this issue, open the dbbuild.ini in Notepad change the timeout settings as shown below. After making the change, go ahead and run the upgrade process again and it should then complete."

    In the dbbuild.ini file update the following section:


    I have also attached a screen shot of the change needed for the dsbbuild.ini.
